	We thank you for taking time out of your schedule to get to know the Green Tree School! We are a non profit human services institution and school located in historic Germantown, specializing in working with special needs students and Autistic populations. As you no doubt know, Autism Spectrum Disorder is one of the fastest growing developmental disabilities in the United States. Currently 1 to 1.5 million Americans are estimated to be living with Autism, and it affects 1 in 150 births according to the Autism Society of America. As debilitating as this disorder is, Green Tree School brings hope and opportunity to hundreds of special needs children and their families through our individualized educational and therapeutic curriculums. Green Tree School was founded on the belief that every child deserves a quality education, regardless of his or her special needs. Yearly we serve up to 250 children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, serious emotional disturbances and preschool developmental delays. With a staff to student ratio of 1:2.5, our commitment to the children in our charge is extensive and heartfelt, and our programs focus on the acquisition of academic, personal, vocational and social skills necessary to enable students to succeed in school and the community at large. We function as a premiere provider for special education and mental health services, serving some of the most severe students in schools throughout the city. We are highly regarded around Philadelphia for our behavioral health cutting edge interventions. Green Tree School programs give agency and voice to the myriad of needs surrounding special education, early intervention programs, and mental health and human services.
